Editor Help : Marking Passes
1. Setting the Values
Status
Using the "DAY Template" (yellow section) at the top of the page, you can select a status of:
- NONE: which means the pass will display with no request button and text that tells patrons there are "no passes available".
- HIDE: which completely hides the pass from your Museum pass list page.
- CLOSED: which will display the pass with no request button and text that tells patrons the museum is "Closed'
- AVAIL: which means passes are available.
NOTE: The default for the day template is "no-change". This means that if you change some of the numbers within the 4 fields the status on a given date will not change.
Numbers
The number fields in the day template are:
- Maximum: number of passes available per day
- Curnum: current number of passes reserved
- Days to Block Before: number of days before the reservation do you want to block when a reservation is made
- Days to Block After: number of days after the reservation do you want to block when a reservation is made
NOTE: Whenever you change any of the above fields, the remaining fields must be blank. There should not even be a zero in the fields that are not changing. Otherwise whatever is in that particular field will override the existing value for the given date is.
2. Selecting the Days
Once you have configured your "Day Template" you can select the day(s) that need to be changed:
- Clicking on the Number of the Day will mark that day.
- Clicking on All next to each month will mark that month.
- Clicking on Whole Year will mark the entire year.
- Clicking on "Sun", "Mon", "Tue", etc. (one of the days of the week) would mark that day of the week for the entire year.
Once you have done this, all the values for all the marked dates will be changed according to the values in the template and the text will be underlined.
3. Saving your changes so far
This underlining of the dates indicates that you still need to save your infomation. Click on "Save and stay on this page".
4. Synchronizing with existing Pass Use Records
Once you have saved all your information, go to the top of the page. You will see in the orange section of the template, a button labeled UPDATE.
When you click on UPDATE the system will update the current number of passes by counting the existing Pass use reservations (reservations that are already booked) and will update the current status based on those new numbers.
5. Final Save
Click on "SAVE AND EXIT".
Your process is complete.
